Service Areas

Lubbock itself is the center of the map, from the older neighborhoods around Texas Tech and Overton to the newer subdivisions spreading south and west past Loop 289. From there we work out across Lubbock County and the edge of the neighboring counties: Wolfforth and Ropesville to the southwest, Shallowater and Abernathy to the north and northwest, Idalou and Lorenzo to the east, Slaton and Buffalo Springs to the southeast, New Deal to the north, and Ransom Canyon, where homes sit on the rim and slopes of Yellow House Canyon instead of flat ground. The wind, the ice and the caliche are the same everywhere on the South Plains. What changes is whether the trees are watered yard trees or old shelterbelt rows, how close the lines run, and how far the nearest place to drop off brush is.
